Learn more about current events while also practicing your English reading and comprehension skills!

For this lesson, you will choose an English news article to read before the lesson begins. During the course of the lesson, we will discuss the content of the article and I will answer any questions you may have about any vocabulary, idioms, cultural references, and expressions that you may not be familiar with. I will also ask you some basic questions about the article to ensure that you have a good understanding of the content. Additionally, I may ask you for your opinion on the article as a way for you to practice articulating your thoughts in the English language.
For this lesson, it is best that you choose an article that takes you no more than 15 minutes to read. While you may choose an article from any news site you want, here are some sites that I recommend:
