Recommended level: low intermediate to advanced
1. English on the phone (a general overview) - Learn a range of formal and informal expressions to use on the phone and practice role-play phone conversations (26-page file).
2. Overview of English numbers (an intermediate overview) - Learn to use and recognize a wide range of different numbers, express quantity, and calculate and modify numbers (96-page file).
3. Overview of English pronunciation (low to upper intermediate) - Learn about phonemes, minimal pairs, stress, intonation, contractions, silent letters, and more (96-page file - some pages specialized for Japanese learners of English).
4. Weather (an intermediate overview) - Learn to use a wide range of adjectives, nouns, verbs, idioms, and other expressions to speak about weather and forecasts (34-page file).
5. Foreign loanwords in English (and their origins) - Discuss loanwords and learn the meanings and origins of 24 loanwords in English (30-page file).
6. Understanding signs (language and meaning) - Learn to recognize and understand English signs in stores and on buildings, as well as road signs and warnings (27-page file).
7. This is Halloween! - A seasonal lesson about the origins, symbols, and traditions of Halloween (with lots of pictures, movies, songs, and vocabulary) (27-page file).
