Have you ever...? Do you ever...?
What's the difference? Ask me! We can spark a conversation practicing these questions.
Kursinhalt
We can spark a conversation practicing "Have you ever....? and "Do you ever....?
These are sometimes confusing, but they are used a lot in everyday conversation.
Do you ever...? is usually asking about some everyday activity or hobby, like, "Do you ever go swimming?"
Have you ever....? is asking about a more unusual activity or experience, and whether you have done this before in your life, like "Have you ever gone skinny-dipping?" (swimming in the nude)
It is also good practice with the present perfect, which many students have trouble with. I have a long list of irregular verbs for you to make questions with.
For example: Do you ever drink sake?
Have you ever drunk sake in a Japanese hot spring bath?
So go ahead--ask me!
