I've been playing the trombone for 20 years. I've studied classical and jazz music in Europe. During the pandemic, while temporarily back from my studies abroad, I devoted myself to studying psychology counseling and obtained a qualification.
On CafeTalk, I engage in activities in three areas:
- ★Music lessons (Trombone, Composition, Study Abroad Consultation)
- ★Counseling
- ★Japanese language lessons
I strive to create a homely atmosphere in all these fields :)
☆ Music Lessons (Trombone, Composition)
From beginners who have just started playing in clubs or orchestras to experienced individuals feeling it's challenging to self-study, I provide detailed and understandable lessons.
As an instructor who graduated from music high school, followed by music institutes in Japan and the Netherlands, I offer a blend of knowledge and experience.
I ensure a clear explanation even for basic things like assembling instruments.
Of course, I also conduct lessons for those aiming for music colleges or planning to study abroad.
(*Preparation for music theory lessons is currently underway)
☆ Counseling
During my elementary and middle school years, I experienced periods of deep emotional distress due to being excluded by peers or hurtful graffiti.
As I naturally had an interest in psychology, I studied and acquired a counselor qualification.
I'll listen to your concerns, mainly focusing on relationship troubles.
(Skype or Zoom cameras can be turned off for privacy)
☆ Japanese Language Lessons
Before studying in the Netherlands, I took a training course for Japanese language teachers.
Having learned English and Dutch, I can empathize with the joys and difficulties of learning languages.
I'll assist those starting Japanese from scratch or those seeking conversation practice.
Rather than complex grammar, we'll learn everyday conversation using pictures and objects.

Shizuka Tsuda
Born in Tokushima Prefecture. Started playing the piano at 6 and the trombone at 9.
Studied classical music at Myozai High School's art music course, receiving the Chairman's Award for Artistic Support and graduating.
Moved to Kobe, where I enrolled in the Koyo Music Academy. Started live performances while studying.
I learned jazz trombone under Ichiro Oshima and improvisation under Shoko Hamamura.
Influenced by Bart van Lier, I moved to the Netherlands alone. In 2019, I enrolled in the Amsterdam Conservatory on recommendations from Bert Boeren and Ilja Reijngoud, studying under them. During my studies, I attended masterclasses by Nils Wogram, Robin Eubanks, and Eric van Lier.
I learned bass trombone from Martin van den Berg.
In 2022, I was ed to participate in the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw Academy.
Apart from jazz, I specialize in funk and Brazilian music.
I'm actively involved in composing, creating songs with an ECM Records-like atmosphere, unique for trombone.
I've also expanded my knowledge in performance mentalities, obtaining qualifications in the field of psychology and attending courses in music psychology."
