Hello and nice to meet you. My name is SASAKI.
I am currently living in Europe (Latvia) due to my family’s work commitments. Up until March 2021, I worked as a teacher at an elementary school for 7 years. For 3 of those years, I was dispatched to a Japanese school.
What I kept in mind when interacting with children was to build a relationship in which they could say, “I don’t understand.” Not understanding something is not a bad thing. However, I think it can be hard when children are anxious about their classes at school, or when they are not able to do things the way they want to.
“My homework is too difficult for me to do on my own.”
“I don’t feel motivated to do homework at home.”
“I don’t understand what I was taught at school.”
“I want to relearn what was taught in the previous school year.” …and so on.
If you need any support with your studies, I am happy to work with you. I will do my best to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for each and every student.
【What I can teach】
Elementary school-level math and Japanese
Junior high school-level math
If you are an elementary school student, I will do my best to accommodate your requests for other subjects such as science and social studies. If you have your own textbooks, workbooks, and other materials that you use for school, we can work with those as well. If not, I can work with you by using textbook-level problems from free textbooks and other materials.
★ This is what the city of Latvia, where I currently reside in, looks like. It is also called the “pearl of the Baltic Sea.”
★ This picture is from when I used to teach at a Japanese school. It was a very small school and it felt like we were all one big family. I was a homeroom teacher in Japan with about 35 students per class.
I am looking forward to meeting you in my lessons.
Thank you very much for your time.
