Hello! I'm jazz and latin piano teacher Chiemi.N.
About me:
I live in New York. After graduating from a master's course in jazz performance from New York Queen's College, I diligently played in a variety of salsa bands and Cuban-style bands to continue my studies. Currently, I perform in my own band, I perform with and run a gospel choir at a church, give piano lessons, arrange music and am involved in a variety of other projects and activities. These past 15 years I've been giving lessons in classical, jazz and latin music piano to a wide range of ages, from 5 to about 70. One of my best jazz students was Alex Jofe, who entered Canada's Schulich School of Music at McGill University to study jazz performance. He graduated in 2013.

In 2019 I released my 3rd latin jazz CD, "Ascendant".
In June I played at the release party at Rockwood Music Hall and in August performed at the long standing jazz establishment Badland. In November I toured in Japan, beginning in Kurashiki and playing in 4 other Japanese cities, Yonago, Nagoya, Tokyo and Osaka.
