Hello, my name is Kanna.K, and I’m a professional ballet dancer and teacher.
 
I started offering lessons at Cafetalk since I wanted to use my experience to offer personalized lessons to each and every student♪
 
You don’t need a leotard or ballet shoes! All you need is a little space to practice in, comfortable clothes and socks, and you’re all set for a “home ballet” session!
 
Even if you are a beginner, I will teach you in a careful and relaxed manner. If you are a bit intimidated by the idea of attending an offline ballet class, why don’t you start by learning the basics of ballet through online private lessons so that you can attend ballet class with confidence?
 
Of course, children are welcome to join as well! Let’s have fun practicing ballet at home  by dancing to Disney songs or familiar classical music!
 
For students who have already attended ballet classes or have experience in ballet, I will provide online lessons tailored to your level, so you can work on what you didn’t understand in your offline classes, practice the steps you found difficult, or improve your expressive skills.
 
 
◆Teaching Background◆
I started classical ballet at the age of three, and after graduating from high school, I studied at the Novosibirsk State Ballet School in Russia for four years and obtained a Russian diploma (graduation certificate). After graduation, I worked as a ballet dancer at the Krasnoyarsk State Theater in Russia for two years, and I am currently a soloist at the San Diego Ballet in California, USA.
 
 

 
I would like to share with you what I have learned about Waganova-style classical ballet, as well as workouts aimed at achieving the strong, lean, and flexible body of a ballet dancer.
 
 

 
I have taught classical ballet classes from toddlers and adults at a studio in my hometown in Hokkaido, as well as a  basic contemporary ballet workshop for elementary and junior high school students.
 
I also offer one-on-one workout sessions to strengthen your muscles for ballet, and workouts that anyone can do to achieve a strong and beautiful ballet dancer body.
 
For example, a student who could not raise their arms above their shoulders due to an injury was able to raise their hands straight up by using the ballet method. Ballet is not only about dancing, but also about learning how to use the body beautifully and correctly.
 
 
 
Classical ballet is said to be the foundation of many sports (rhythmic gymnastics, figure skating, gymnastics, etc.) and dance moves (modern dances, ballroom dances, and flamenco). I offer a wide range of lessons to meet your needs, from students who want to learn ballet seriously, to students who are aiming for a ballet dancer body.

(This lesson is designed to teach you how to use your arms, muscles, and the sense of “andeol” by lying on the floor and doing the movements of a barre class. This lesson should be taken in conjunction with my ballet lessons to achieve the best results.)
