みなさん、こんにちは!! Ciao a tutti!! Hello everyone!
Who am I?
My name is Riccardo (リーカルド) and I was born on the Italian island of Sardinia.
I have a Master degree in English language, literature and International communication. I have spent one year in Iceland as an exchange student. At the age of 21 I moved abroad, and I have been away from my country ever since. I used to live in Ireland first, then in England, where I spent about 6 years studying and working. For the past 9 years I have been a flight attendant in Dubai.
I have been a freelance English teacher helping students and friends improve their conversational skills, as well as teaching grammar, writing and some business English when required. I have a Cambridge CAE certificate as well as a TOEIC (score 960).
Here I am in London when I was young :)
What are my lessons like?
I like lessons to be fun and constructive at the same time. Everybody is welcome to my classes, whether you are a beginner or you'd like to engage in a free conversation and grow your confidence!
I have been a student exactly like you, so I know how hard it can be. Don't be shy or afraid, we all make mistakes, nobody is perfect! I am very patient and I like an easy-going teaching style. I have been passionate about languages since I was a teenager, so I hope to share this passion with you! We can discuss about any topic you like (l love to meet new people!), or we can focus on whatever you need, could it be your homework or grammar etc.
As I said before, lessons should be fun as well: there are many ways to learn, such as reading fun facts from all over the world, books or stories, and, why not, listening to your favourite songs!!
What do I do in my free time?
Travelling and exploring new places has always been my dream. I have been to 86 countries and I am not done yet! I love hiking whenever possible.
I love aviation and aeroplanes, I sometimes drive close to the airport just to watch planes landing!!
I am into history, so I often watch documentaries or read history books.
I love Asian food and sometimes I challenge myself into cooking!
With my wife's help (she is Japanese), I am studying Japanese language: now I am able to order food by myself at the restaurant every time we travel to Japan! :D
Here's a view of my beautiful hometown... :)
...and here's me hiking somewhere near my hometown :)
