Hi there! Welcome to the classroom of teacher Ian. I'm a dedicated and easy-going English teacher who believes in putting students at the heart of their learning journey.

I'm currently living in the historic Cotswold region in Oxfordshire, which is a nice place to walk and cycle along all the footpaths past dry stone walls and wild flowers.

I have 14 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language to pre-intermediate and intermediate learners in private schools in southeast Asia. You can see from the picture below, I'm quite good at crowd control ! :-)))


My approach is student-centric with the focuses on the needs and goals of each person.

I like to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel confident to express themselves and take risks with their language learning. I use interactive and communicative methods, so that lessons are not only educational but also enjoyable and relevant to real-life situations.
