Annyeonghaseyo^^
My name is Maki_N05.
When I was a high school student, I became interested in South Korea after I fell in love with a TV-drama series called “Dae Jang Geum”.
After entering the workforce, I worked for a company in Seoul, South Korea for a year as part of the company’s training program, thus I lived there for a total of two years.
I love the Korean language and have always wanted to teach Korean someday. Having been able to work from home and have a more relaxed work schedule because of the pandemic, I decided now was the time to make that dream come true.
I hope we can enjoy learning the Korean language together♪♪♪
★ Recommended for the following learners ★
・Japanese speakers who want to start studying Korean or would like to know how to study Korean.
・Learners who want to study Korean using some Japanese.
〇 Personal history 〇
Exchange student in Seoul, South Korea for one year during my college years.
(I attended classes level 2 to 4 at a language institute.)
I have worked in Seoul for one year as a trainee.
〇 Qualifications 〇
・Obtained the Korean Language Proficiency Test Level 6 (2017)
Last year, I obtained a national certification as a career consultant, so I would like to offer lessons in the future while also incorporating career consulting into them.
・Okinawa Prefectural Regional Interpreter Guide (in Korean)
I obtained this certification in 2017.
Unlike the national version of the Interpreter Guide Exam, I obtained this certification by taking a training course.
I would like to incorporate some of the things I learned at that time, such as how to explain tourist attraction sites in Okinawa in Korean, into my lessons.
〇 Teaching materials 〇
・“Dekiru Kankokugo” Beginner level I & II
I would like to increase the types of teaching materials in the future.
I started with Korean dramas and wanted to study abroad in South Korea, but my Korean language skills were not improving, so I tried many methods including keeping a diary in Korean, studying for the TOPIK exam, but I was struggling with my staggered progress...
Being a non-native speaker myself, I would like to think together with you about your struggles and study methods to help you learn the Korean language, as well as study methods for working adults who might not have much time to spare for their studies.
I have also been studying English at my own pace for about 5 to 6 years now by taking online English conversation lessons 7 to 8 times a month. I would like to think how I can help you stay motivated to learn from the standpoint of a language learner just like you.^^

〇 Places I’ve traveled to 〇
I have traveled to many regions in South Korea.
I attended the International Film Festival in Busan, went to Chinatown in Incheon, visited a large lotus field in Buyeo, rode a cable car with a beautiful night view in Yeosu, went to a folk village in Suncheon where people still live...I enjoyed the fresh air and delicious food in the Korean countryside! I would love to talk about my travels in Korea during our lessons^^
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or requests on how you would like to proceed with your studies♪
I look forward to working with you.
