Thank you for visiting my profile.
I am a native Japanese speaker living in Kanagawa Prefecture, just south of Tokyo, where standard Japanese is spoken. I have lived here all my life, so I speak standard Japanese fluently with a clear standard accent.
I have a bachelor's degree in English from a Tokyo university, a TEFL/TESOL certificate, and more than nine years of work experience in the localization/translation field, so I understand and speak English too.
I am health conscious and enjoy working out and staying physically and mentally fit. I also love helping people and seeing them be happy, so I am hoping to become a personal trainer one day too.
Here on Cafetalk, if I could be your personal language trainer, help you achieve your Japanese learning goals, and see you be happy, I could not be happier!
About My Japanese Lessons
I have privately taught Japanese to non-native Japanese speakers of all levels simply by having conversations or using materials such as GENKI textbooks.
In my lessons, I will help you learn basic grammar, vocabulary, expressions, kanji, and so on mainly using GENKI 1 & 2 and some other materials that I prepare.
We can also talk freely about anything you like, work on pronunciation and intonation, and do more activities.
I will tailor my lessons based on your interests and needs, so please feel free to let me know if you have any requests or suggestions. I am flexible and more than happy to help in whatever way I can.
I can also proofread and correct your writting—essays, business emails, self-introduction sentences, example sentences for your own vocabulary flashcards, and more—by making use of my experience as a professional proofreader, editor and translator.
I can help you with:
- Grammar, vocabulary, expressions, kanji, etc.
- Conversational Japanese
- Pronunciation and intonation
- Writing, and more
I myself is a learner of English and am still learning—there is no end to learning!—, so I totally understand how difficult it is to learn a new language, and I can relate to what you might be going through.
It is okay to be nervous and make mistakes. It is all right if you do not know or cannot remember how to say something when we are talking.
Let us just enjoy the learning process, and I am here to support you!
**I am going to add more lessons. Please stay tuned!**
