Hi Everyone
 
I am a teacher, a mom and a family person. I teach in Afrikaans and English. My married family includes people of the Dutch language, but I am still learning to speak it. I do understand it quite well, though. I love to help others and share my knowledge and ideas with people. I did a degree in education and also a TEFL course. I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching, in different schools and setups. I also love communicating with young new parents to share my own experiences of working with children and working with my own child. I have realised that children like to learn through play and also developed some of my own learning strategies to help children and even adults to learn.
 
My hobbies are spending quality time with my boy and family, being creative, playing games like chess, enjoying nature and doing things on the computer.
 
I have given extra private lessons from home for about 4 years and have also helped people who struggle with their phones or computers (basic skills and Word programmes).
 
I offer lessons in reading, writing, help with Mathematics (preferably foundation phase Mathematics), Afrikaans or English as a first or second language.
 
I also offer sharing of information and ideas or talking about any of my mentioned hobbies.
 
I am looking forward to meet students and present lessons.
