Hello! My name is Jarom! I am an American currently living in Japan. Having graduated from Hawaii, I have learned to love traveling and learning languages.
I teach English online and in English conversation classes and have been teaching and tutoring all over Japan and in the US for more than 5 years in person and online!
In one-on-one lessons, we are goal focused and open-minded. In my class, we challenge ourselves to achieve our English learning dreams, big or small. Lessons will always start where you are, while always safe to make mistakes. Using props, games, and technology wherever possible, lessons can be tailored to those who have just started their English journey or English learning veterans.
During class, we will speak in English, but can also use Japanese according to your needs and proficiency.
I will provide useful and applicable contextual exercises as well as explanations of how new words and grammar are naturally used. We also work on reading comprehension and dialogue skills.
As a learner of Japanese, I know firsthand the hard work it is to study and communicate in a second language. As a language learner and a teacher, I pledge to put that same dedicated effort into each individual lesson I prepare.
