Nice to meet you all! My name is Masaru.
What are you looking for in a Japanese lesson?
If you want to be able to “speak” Japanese, why don’t you join me for a lesson?
In my speaking lessons,
① You will speak,
② I will offer my advice, and
③ I will hand you a report.
① Speaking
For the first half of the lesson, please talk about whatever you want to talk about.
You can introduce yourself, talk about your hobbies, favorite foods, favorite sports, favorite places in Japan, recent news, and so on.
We can talk about any topic.
If you are unsure of what you want to talk about, you can start with introducing yourself.
If you cannot find anything you want to talk about, I can also decide a topic for us to talk about.
When you send me a lesson request, please leave a comment, “先生が決めて (I want the tutor to decide).”
Talking about yourself and your favorite things in Japanese is very useful for improving your language skills.
② Advice from the tutor
In the second half of the lesson, I will offer you advice to help you improve your speaking skills.
For example,
I will tell you what was good about your conversation.
I will teach you new vocabulary and expressions.
I will teach you how to use particles.
I will correct your pronunciation.
I will help you improve your Japanese language skills.
③ I will hand you a report.
I will hand you a report so that you can review your lesson.
If there was not enough time during the lesson to offer you feedback, I will give you a report summarizing the points that I could not cover.
Please use them when studying on your own.
The main character of the lesson is you.
I will assist you to improve your Japanese language skills.
If you have any requests for my lessons, please let me know when you book a lesson.
I will do my best to accommodate you.
~~~Free Talk~~~
I offer free talk (casual chat) lessons for students who would like to try conversing in Japanese, instead of just talking by themselves.
A slightly short lesson of 15 minutes.
Or a 25 minute lesson for a good talk.
In both lessons, everyone is welcome to have fun chatting freely about any topic you would like to talk about!
~~~Self Introduction~~~
I have a somewhat unusual background.
Have you ever heard of “Pachinko” or “Pachislot”?
It is a part of Japanese culture.
I used to be a pachinko / pachislot professional.
In Japanese, this called a “パチプロ (pachi-pro).”
It is similar to a “gambler.”
I believe that I am the only former pachi-pro Japanese language tutor in the world.
If you are interested in pachinko and pachislot, please feel free to ask me about various things.
I have many interesting stories that only I can share.
