Firstly, I encourage my students to be confident and not worry about any errors that they make. In fact, I try to relate to them by telling them about my past experiences with French. I don't like to constantly interrupt my students and use negative language. When giving feedback, I aim to be as constructive as possible. I try to see "the bigger picture" and I always aim to motivate them. I'm capable of teaching complex grammatical structures. I have experience in creating my own material and making lessons as engaging as possible. I've been on virtual tours with my students, created roleplaying lessons for them and of course provided them with structure when needed. I don't just see myself as a teacher but also as a mentor. I regularly keep in contact with my students and offer them support, whether they want me to check their CV or prepare for an interview.
I currently work with 5 companies – TELAB (Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche) , AimEnglish (Meylan), MBusinessEnglish (Spain) and Business Speaking (Paris). My students are French, Italian and Spanish. I have experience in teaching beginner to advanced-level students with a variety of platforms (Zoom, Skype, Google hangouts, Adobe connect etc.). I use books when teaching Business English and grammar. I give homework and provide feedback after every class. I also ask for feedback from my students because I want to improve as a teacher. I always scrutinise the resources/materials I plan to use and make sure that they are as authentic as possible. I have extensive experience in exam preparation, I've written sample TOEIC questions and I've subscribed my students to an online platform.
