Hi everyone!
I'm Maeda Masumi, and I've been teaching lessons online since the beginning of Cafetalk's music section, now I have been giving online lessons for five years and teaching in the classroom for seven years.
I am usually a piano teacher in music classes affiliated with at the Toho Gakuen College, and I also perform in concerts on a regular basis.
I specialize in providing professional coaching to aspiring musicians, however, I give lessons to students of all levels based on my motto: "music is for fun!".
In piano lessons, we will also look at posture and breathing techniques together.
It is the most helpful for me if you could use a camera with an angle that allows me to see your upper body, but it can be difficult depending on where you are.
Please feel free to ask me about lesson equipment and angles♪
Everyone has their own style of enjoying music!
For those who want to start playing music as a hobby.
For those who want to play music as a make-up exercise for music classes.
For those who want to learn music in earnest
I will tailor my lessons to students' individual needs, from piano beginners to advanced students who want to try difficult songs.
I look forward to seeing you in the lessons^ ^
If you get better at it, you'll have more fun → If you have more fun, you'll get better at it♪
I would be happy if people of all ages, from children to adults, could enjoy the music☆
I really look forward to having a lesson with you♪
*Currently, I do not accept lesson requests from the very beginner student.
※About lesson schedule
I have irregular availability on weekends due to concerts and classroom commitments. Please contact me directly if you would like to book a weekend lesson.
*Regarding returning your lesson notes
If you send me the sheet music for a lesson, I will write the lesson contents that are difficult to express in words on the score and return it to you.
Since mostly different edition scores have different musical symbols, using the same score will make the instructions easier to follow.
Please send me the sheet music by taking a photo or scanning.
I will write down the lesson content on the score and send it back to you, which you can use to review the lesson.
(Please note that there will be no review on cafetalk website if I return the sheet music to you as a review.)
