It’s nice meeting you ~◕‿◕✿!
My name is Hyeoni (혀니/ヒョニ), and I’m a Korean language tutor at Cafetalk!
“Hyeoni” is a nickname I made up from the last letter of my real name, “Hyun”.
In South Korea, we often call someone by the middle or last letter of their name as a friendly way of addressing them.
Born in Busan, South Korea → Currently resides in Seoul
Japanese and Korean usage in my lessons
I have been in contact with many Japanese people from my college days throughout my adulthood.
Depending on each student’s level, I will use Japanese and Korean accordingly to create a comfortable learning environment!
*I also plan to offer lessons using only Korean.

*During my college years
As a foreign language major, I wanted to be a person with a broad perspective.
This is why I participated in various international exchange activities, including an exchange program.
*My very first international exchange activity
My homestay in Saga Prefecture in Kyushu was my first time visiting Japan.
It was both difficult and embarrassing to speak in Japanese in front of native speakers.
There was also a big language barrier, the “Saga dialect”...!
I will use my experiences to help you overcome such obstacles and help you learn from my experiences!
*My professional background
After graduating from university, I started working for a Japanese apparel company producing clothes and distributing them to retail outlets all over the world.
After 6 years of business experience, I not only developed my Japanese language skills, but also my ability to communicate in a business context.
I have also grown into a person with a strong sense of responsibility, which is the most important aspect for my job.
Based on my extensive experience, I would like to be a reliable tutor who can communicate well with Cafetalk students in Korean!
●The reason I started offering Korean lessons
After watching a Japanese friend of mine work hard to become a Japanese language teacher in Taiwan,
I became interested in teaching my native language to people from different regions as well.
I have encountered many opportunities by being able to speak Japanese,
One of them being “the feeling of expanding my world.”
I would like to work together with those of you who are studying Korean so that you can also have more opportunities in the future!
