My name is Justin and I'm from Cape Town, South Africa. I like to become friends with those I teach. I believe that you will enjoy learning if the person teaching you teaches with conviction, passion and respect. So, I will do my best to never be too boring! If you want more of a breakdown of how I teach, check out the last paragraph of this introduction.
As for those credentials of mine, I have been a teacher/tutor for five years and a writer for very many more. I have experience teaching five subjects in the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum (those subjects being English language, English literature, sociology, psychology and international history).
Furthermore, I have two degrees (a BA and a BAHons) and I am currently completing my Master's degree in literature with a focus on critical theory. So, we can talk about a lot more than just English if you want.
And if you want to know what it's like to be taught be me: individualised. I do not believe in having rigid lesson structures that apply to everyone because everyone is different. Your current skill level in the subject must be taken into account and then a lesson plan needs to be developed. So the way you are taught is based on *you*. In addition, I tend to be informal and conversational, because learning is best done in a friendly, open environment that allows for as many questions and explanations as needed.
And this is quite unrelated, but I just happen to adore animals. So, send me your animal pics!
