About MeHello! My name is Celia, I'm in my thirties, from the UK, and I'm an English teacher. I went to university in the city of Bath (UK) where I studied creative writing. I love writing stories, articles, travel guides, poetry, and many other things. My other hobbies include cooking, knitting, reading, visiting museums and art galleries.
Teaching BackgroundI've been working as an English teacher since 2011. I spent many years living in Asia where I worked full-time as an English teacher. First I lived in China (in Hangzhou and Suzhou) and then I went to Japan. I lived in Tokyo for a few months and then spent much longer living in Kumamoto, which is a great city. I've taught children and adults, new learners and proficient speakers. I've been teaching online since around 2016.
Teaching StyleMy teaching style is friendly, conversational, and supportive. Because I have a lot of writing experience, I like to make my own materials, from dialogues to worksheets. I can tailor my lessons to suit each individual student. Our lessons can be structured or more easy-going; whatever you prefer!
Fun Facts About Me
My favourite foods are sushi, lasagne, and pizza. I like walking but I don't like hiking. My favourite colour is yellow. I've met some famous people such as Stephen Fry and David Attenborough. I look forward to finding out some fun facts about you!
