Dear, Readers.
It has been a while. I have been itching to write this column at the soonest possible convenience. 
I hope you are all doing great.
During the past couple of weeks, I have been busy preparing to relocate to another part of Thailand. 
As a guest of these ever-smiling people, I always take the opportunity to live in a different part of the country. There is so much that fascinates me about this little paradise.
So, I decided to take on another exciting challenge. I moved to Koh Samui Island. It falls under Surat Thani Province which is located in the south of Thailand. It is just over 300km from my home which is in Songkhla Province.
I have been here for a couple of days. The experience has so far blown my mind. I would like to share with you some fun facts about the island that will be my home.
Did you know that;
"Samui" is the actual name of the island
If you have knowledge about this island, you probably already know that Samui is the real name of the island. The word "Koh" means "island" in Thai.
There are 4 beautiful waterfalls
Namuang 1, Namuang 2, Hin Lad and Khun Si are all must-see waterfalls on Samui. These waterfalls will most likely leave you with an unforgettable experience.
You can dive with whale sharks
Koh Samui is one of the best diving locations and most of the locations are no deeper than 20m, but they are still astonishing.
Ko Samui has been around for 1,500 years
Koh Samui has been around for a very long time and the first inhabitants were fishermen. There were also a lot of coconut plantations in Koh Samui.
Crazy activities
If hopping from island to island is your thing, then there are plenty of activities like go-karting, scuba diving, bungee jumping, and even buffalo fighting!
Although there are fewer tourists because of the ongoing pandemic, I am looking forward to enjoying the island after I have settled down.
