Berserk (ベルセルク) is an ongoing Japanese manga written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura (三浦 建太郎) which unfortunately passed away in 2021. Rest in peace you legend!
The main focus of the story is about a lone swordsman called Guts and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk".
When I was reading Berserk for the first time I was going through some really hard times in my life and I almost gave up. Even though this is a fictional story, I could find myself in some of the moments Guts was faced with and realized that I must continue no matter what!
"You’re going to be all right. You just stumbled over a stone in the road. It means nothing. Your goal lies far beyond this. Doesn’t it? I’m sure you’ll overcome this. You’ll walk again… soon."
I recommend anyone that is a fan of anime/manga to pick up and give Berserk a try.
