【EN/JP】ちょっと変？日本のバレンタインデー

みなさん、イタリアからこんにちは♪
Good morning from Italy!

明日（あした）はいよいよバレンタインデーですね！！
Tomorrow is finally Valentine's day!

日本ではバレンタインデーに何（なに）をするか知（し）っていますか？
Do you know what to do on Valentine's day in Japan?

実（じつ）は、女性（じょせい）が男性（だんせい）にチョコレートをあげるんです。
In fact, girls give chocolates to guys here.

ここが重要（じゅうよう）です。「女性が」あげるんです(*ﾉωﾉ)笑
"girls" do it. This is important part haha

手作(てづく）りのチョコレート菓子（がし）や、少（すこ）し高級（こうきゅう）なお店（みせ）のチョコレートを用意（ようい）します。
They prepare homemade chocolate sweets or the fancy ones from a shop.

主（おも）に、気（き）になっている男性（だんせい）や彼氏（かれし）・旦那（だんな）さんにあげますが
Basically they give to a guy who they have feelings for or their boyfriend/their husband

実は、「友（とも）チョコ」や「義理（ぎり）チョコ」というものもあります。
But there are also "tomo-choco" and "giri-choco".

What are they?↓↓

友チョコ：友達（ともだち）にあげるチョコレート
tomo-choco: chocolates that you give to friends

義理チョコ：恋愛感情（れんあいかんじょう）はないけど感謝（かんしゃ）している人にあげるチョコレー　　　　　ト。
例）職場（しょくば）の人や学校（がっこう）のクラスメイトにあげるチョコレート
giri-choco: chocolates that you give to people who you don't like in a romance way but who you appreciate.
Ex) colleagues in the work place, classmates in the school

色（いろ）んな種類（しゅるい）がありますね。
There are a lot of variety, aren't they?

バレンタインデーの一週間前（いっしゅうかんまえ）はとても忙（いそが）しいです。
You would be busy a week before Valentine's day here

何故（なぜ）なら、これだけたくさんの人にチョコレートを用意（ようい）しなければいけないからです。
Because you would have to prepare chocolates to lots of people!

もちろん、義務（ぎむ）ではありませんよ！笑
But of course it is not obligation!!!
