Senpaisensei

Hello I am Senpaisensei and I am from England!

However I do not like English food very much... ;(.
But there is good news!  Ever since I was a little boy I had a host family in Belgium, and in Belgium they make amazing chocolates and sweets!
The Belgium Manneken 'waffles' have become very popular in Japan but a little free lesson....They are not strictly waffles they are Gaufres!  Which means they have a more 'bread-like dough, (waffles have pancake dough!) and inside guafres there are little bits of sugar that have been melted to turn into caramel - that is why they have that lovey fragrance!
Now watch out, sometimes in the supermarkets here in Japan (especially after Mother's day/Father's day) there are discount sales of 'Belgian Gaufres'.  But they need to be served hot and freshly made, in order to be truly delicious!
My favoutite Belgian chocolates are the white ones with...two layers of fresh cream inside!  They are called Manon Blanc in the Leonidas chocolate shops in Belgium!
Unfortunately I have not seen Manon Blanc in the Leonidas chocolate shops in Japan...but maybe this is good....because it helps to control cholesterol!!
Now in Ireland, there are many cakes and my favourite is Carrot Cake which is served with.....yup! A huge whallop/scoop/chunk/monster!! of FRESH CREAM. Oh dear oh dear!  Lovely and dangerous....Especially as the servings in a coffee shop are generally very very large....Ohh dear I'm hungry.....Time to go for a run ;(
