Detalles de la lección

Listening to what you hear and writing it down is a great way to improve your language skills. Furthermore, the best way to learn natural speech is to watch media in the target language. Advertisements, movies, and TV shows often have great idioms and natural speaking expressions. Watching the characters on TV is a good way to understand how the language works in real life!

I'll find a short clip (1-3 mins) from YouTube and send it to you during our lesson. We'll watch it together twice. The first time, you'll watch the clip and try to understand the situation. The second time, you'll write down as many words, expressions, and sentences as you can. (You can write on a piece of paper or you can type into Skype).

Next, we'll talk about the video. I'll ask you some questions about the video to check your understanding. For example:

- What was this video about?
- Why did the character do this?
- How did the video make you feel?

Then, I'll ask you to read me the words and phrases you wrote down. I'll explain the new words and expressions in the video. Lastly, I'll answer any questions.

After our lesson, I'll give you feedback and summarize all of the new vocabulary you learned.

All levels welcome!
