STEP 2: Tailored-lessons designed to develop the business skills you require in order to achieve your goals in your intended business context.
Background cultural preparation. Are you going to the USA, Denmark, France, India, UK, Australia?
Business manners and presentation/negotiation styles) change according to cultural context. Tailored background preparation enables better business interactions.
We can read real texts/articles that explore your vocabulary for your business context (much more exciting and useful than a ‘general business English textbook’!).
Where are you going?
English accents change according to region. We can listen to English presentations from people in the region/country you are visiting – I can help you to be prepared for a different regional English accent in a business context!

Here are some examples of how these Business Skills Lessons have helped students:
Are you making a technical presentation?
I help you with your presentation, pronunciation, timing, and to prepare for the after-presentation business questions! With technical vocabulary – pronunciation is VERY important!
(An example: In Japanese カタカナ is not always your ‘easy English vocabulary friend’ - アクセルin English means AXEL (a shaft on which a wheel turns) it does not mean ACCELERATOR (the pedal that controls the speed of the vehicle)!
Are you working/living in a new country for the first time?
Let us prepare your day-to-day living skills, asking questions to new foreign colleagues…
Are you negotiating a contract or are you in pre-negotiation/assessment phase?
We roleplay and practice your questions and answers.
Are you networking and if so how? Are you meeting people face-to-face or by emails?
I will help you to write, speak, and communicate politely and effectively.
