Perfect for practicing daily conversations!
Kursinhalt
In this lesson a student can freely practice speaking English and choose any topic for discussion. This is great for any level to improve your confidence in using the language and will also give you a perfect opportunity to get introduced to me and my teaching style!
NOTES (PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING):
- Please let me know either at the start of the lesson or via your request notes whether you wish to be corrected on your speaking and grammar or prefer to keep the conversation going similarly as if you were talking to an English speaking stranger (they will never openly correct you, but if they do not understand you they will try to ask questions to redirect you accordingly).
- I would recommend to think of a topic (or multiple topics) that you wish to practice talking about before booking. It is not compulsory, however it might help to improve the productivity of the exercise when having a clear objective in mind. Since this is the longer version of the lesson, feel free to come up with different simulations, for example: pretending like it's a meeting between friends, being on a date, having a job interview, discussing your favourite hobbies with someone who has same interests etc.
- Topics related to politics, activism or intimate relationships are strictly not allowed. Learning vocabulary related to these topics however is allowed, for example words like "policy", "diplomacy", "government", "constitution" etc. Discussing history itself is also fine, and since I am interested in the subject myself I would be happy for example if a Japanese student would like to tell me about prominent historical figures/ events during Sengoku Jidai or some traditions in Japan which came from the Edo period and doing it while using English! Dating topic as a whole is allowed as well, for example you can practice talking about the dating culture in your country, such as "kokuhaku" (confession) or maybe describe the traditional wedding ceremonies, clothing, the process and things like that!
- Please keep mobile phones on silent and refrain from using them during the lesson unless needed for the purposes of the lesson itself or in the case of an emergency.
- Please no food or snacks during the session. Drinks and small biscuits or chocolates with tea or coffee are allowed!
