Current Experience
I am a TEFL certified English teacher. Despite being a newly baked in the field, I have already had experience teaching some Chinese students one to one (real life). One of them wanted to practice simple daily conversations and learn useful phrases, while also practicing listening. The other one had a very specific focus on learning how to communicate during a job interview, which includes being able to correctly introduce oneself to the potential employer, discuss work experience and engage in various forms of small talk.
NOTE: this section will be updated regularly.
Teaching Methods
My primary focus is on tailoring lessons to each individual's preferences and goals to come up with the best possible approach that suits them. To better fit the site's structure, I aim to produce and design as many different types of lessons with suitable plans in order to capture and cater to as many requirements my potential students may have.
My main strengths and areas of focus would be providing useful and more hands on type of information to students, which they can actually make use of and can also have fun with in day to day life rather than using textbooks with the ultimate goal being able to speak like native English speakers. While textbooks can be very useful, I have discovered they frequently do not represent how people speak using any given language in real life and I have learned that quite a bit when I started learning Japanese. Same thing applies to English!
