Hello! My name is Eddie.

I’m from South Korea. Now I’m living in the state of California, U.S., whose weather is fantastic around a year. I have a master's degree in International Electronic Commerce and a bachelor's degree in physics in South Korea. In addition, I completed a TESOL program (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and obtained a TESOL certification. 

I’m a very passionate, professional language tutor because I have a lot of experience in language education.  Back in South Korea, I taught students for over 10 years, and I ran my own language school very successfully. Likewise, here in America, I’m teaching Korean language to people around the world online like this.

 

Teaching Experience and Certifications in South Korea :

I educated students from pre-school to high school for over 10 years. Especially, I operated an English education business for around 5 years. I developed courses of English education programs and consulted with thousands of students and parents as an education expert. Those various, ample, hands-on experience helped me have excellent skills in teaching English grammar, phonics, reading, writing and speaking. I think I have great knowledge and specialized in teaching English grammar.

 
Teaching Experience and Certifications in the U.S. :

Besides a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate, as part of the process to become a school teacher in the U.S., I obtained two important certificates, CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test) and CSET Korean subject (California Subject Examinations for Teachers – Korean Subject). When I complete the course of teaching credentialing as the last step, I can teach middle or  high school students in America. Now I'm teaching local people Korean online in America.

    I’m a very supportive instructor with great understanding and empathy. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes while learning foreign languages. Feel free to spit it out! That’s why I’m here for you!

    My goal is to help you learn Korean language in a very relaxing, fun, encouraging environment. During lessons, I will correct your Korean and provide you with more natural expressions, including idioms, phrasal verbs, and collocations.
    I evaluate each student’s level and academic goals to tailor my lesson plans accordingly. There should not be any burden and stress in your learning. Just enjoy the lessons!   

  • “Whatever you want!”
    My lesson materials can be various, and if necessary, even your own learning materials can be utilized to make classes best suitable for you. Just let me know what you want and how to learn!    - Learn about exotic Korean culture
      - Learn K-POP and its lyrics
           - Learn Korean Film or Drama Quotes
           - Learn Korean Daily Expressions and Idioms
           - Talking Freely with various topics
      - Pronunciation Exercises

  • “Practice two languages at the same time!”
    One of the biggest benefits or advantages from my lessons is that you can learn and practice both Korean and English languages at the same time because Korean language is taught based on English speaking! If you want, lessons can be done in Korean only for immersion learning environment.
