I am originally from the United Kingdom but have travelled extensively throughout Europe, Central and South America, and also through some of the US, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I currently live in the Peruvian Mountains and have been living in Peru for seven years. I love to experience new things, learn about new cultures and exchange languages. I have a 200 Hour TEFL Certification and offer Conversational English sessions and assistance with homework or written projects in English.
Learn English in your Yoga Class
I offer Yoga classes in English, where you will have the opportunity to learn and speak English as we move through the class. Sessions are designed to meet your needs: yoga postures, breathing and meditation will be chosen to meet the needs of your body and your personal goals, and to suit how you are feeling on the day. I offer yin yoga classes for deep stretching of the connective tissue, deep relaxation sessions, and beginners' meditation classes. My classes are very gentle and give you the space to turn inwards to explore your body and to make time and space for yourself. We will also have conversation around yoga and your yoga practice in English. You will be able to increase your vocabulary to include physical, spiritual and health related language, and practice your listening skills as we move through the class.
Introduction to Ayurveda
I am a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner and offer Ayurvedic classes to introduce you to this very interesting system of natural health and medicine. These classes are designed for you to learn English and Ayurveda at the same time. You will learn a lot of health related vocabulary and will have plenty of opportunity to work on your speaking, listening and reading skills. During the classes we will explore the basic principles of Ayurveda and you will gain an understanding of how this system of healing and wellbeing works, and how to apply some of the principles to your own life.
