Hello there! Have a look at my profile below if you’d like to find out more about me and my classes.
 
Well, nice to meet you here on Cafetalk. My name is Rachael. I’m from England and I’m currently living here, although I moved abroad after I finished my university studies where I lived for many years. Like many of you Cafetalkers with an international outlook, I’m really happy to be here on this global platform talking to different people from all over the world.
 
I believe that life is for learning ….whoever you are, wherever you are located, whatever you want to learn.
 
I love languages – both my own native language, English, and other languages I’ve learned along the way. I think that learning languages is much more than just communicating with people and can help you improve memory skills, increase motivation, gain self-assurance, expand your horizons and a whole lot more.
 
I’ve spent most of my life immersed in the world of languages and I’d be happy to join you on your learning path and help you with your language learning either by audio or video.

…fully qualified and have a BA Hons degree in English Literature and an International House CELTA and Certificate in Online Teaching to teach English to foreigners and to teach online.
…experienced and have taught in-house/in-company classes in language/business organisations for a variety of courses (group, one-to-one, exam preparation, business English, etc.).
…adaptable and have worked with all types of learners of different backgrounds, levels and ages, right from 6 years of age up to 60 years of age.
…specialised and have given courses for large companies in the banking, audit, tax, legal and insurance sectors and as a full-time internal English teacher for a multinational, besides working extensively as a translator.

…fluency. From my experience of living abroad, I know what it’s like to speak and work in a foreign language in the real world and I can really build up your confidence in speaking English on a practical day-to-day level.
…accuracy. From the correction and editing skills I’ve gained from teaching and working in translation, I can focus on the detail and make sure that you are clear and precise.
…skills. The four language skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading, and the sub-skills needed for them.
…feedback. Something to take away with you at the end of class to help you study and monitor your progress or to just jog your memory.
