Aila 講師的自我介紹
Hello!Hola!こんにちは！My name is Aila.
Born in Japan, grew up in Mexico, I am a trilingual residing in Kyoto, Japan. I have experience living in the UK for a year, where I got my Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults, and I have obtained my MA degree in Educational Psychology from Mcgill University in Montreal, Canada. I have conducted studies looking at the effect of learning through board games.
I have 10 years of teaching experience, 5 years as a private tutor teaching English, and the other 5 years teaching English and Psychology at universities as a lecturer.
Teaching Style
I try making my classes fun and focus on using the language in actual contexts rather than focusing on one aspect of learning a language such as grammar or speaking.
My classes are unique in combining learning with other subjects, such as aromatherapy, cooking and/or board games.
I am also very flexible, and would be more than happy to incorporate different teaching materials and discuss learning styles with my students so the learning becomes much more fun, motivating and comfortable.
