Hello, my name is Damian!

I am originally from England, but I have been living and teaching in Thailand for 17 years.

I have taught English to students of all ages and levels, in the classroom, one-to-one and online. At the moment I am a high-school English teacher, but I am teaching online part-time to give me freedom to train for a marathon!

I can teach all of the four skills, (reading, writing, speaking and listening), but I would like to focus on conversation lessons.

If you can already have a basic conversation in English, but would like to be more confident talking about your interests, take a look at my lessons!

About me

I studied printing and design at Art College, I then lived in London for nearly 10 years where I worked in a computer games company. I wanted to travel, so I paused my work and travelled through Africa, Australia and SouthEast Asia.

I have been to 30 countries on 5 continents, but the truck tour from Cairo to Cape Town was my favourite!

After travelling, I settled in Thailand as the weather and the food is so much better than England.

My two children, ages 11 and 15, make me very proud - they are fluent in Thai and English.

My hobbies are running, snorkelling and gardening - I love to spend time outdoors in nature!

It’s a big world with so much to talk about!

We can choose subjects together and talk about them to help improve your fluency. 

I can help you with your pronunciation and explain the meanings of words to make you a more confident and interesting speaker.

Movies

I watch a lot of Movies from different times and places, but my favourite are Science Fiction films.

I also enjoy learning and talking about films; would you like to join me?

We can talk about different films we watch, what we enjoyed about them and why they are popular or unpopular.

Is there a new film you want to know about and discuss with English speaking friends? (For example, the Oscars; Another Round or The Sound Of Metal. We can talk about those!)
