Introduction:
Hello, My name is Darren and I was born and raised in the southwestern United States. I taught English in Japan for four years. First, I taught English in Sasebo for two years then in Gifu for another two years. I greatly enjoyed my time as a teacher and hope to continue with you.
Education:
I studied art history at Arizona State University. I graduated with the honor of 'Magna Cum Laude' for my grades. In my art history courses I had to write many long research pages. The longest was 30 pages! I also had to learn to research and give lectures on various art subjects. I learned alot from my experience at ASU, especially writing papers.
I think learning is a life long goal. I continue to study today. I enjoy studying Japanese and computer building. Currently I am building a Linux machine.
Teaching Style:
It is important to focus on a students level and needs. To do this we will:
1. have a trial lesson to establish your level.
2. talk about your goals.
3. develop a plan to reach your goals.
4. learn English together!
If you have any questions let me know. I look forward to doing lessons with you!
