Introduction to Noh
Noh is a world-famous musical with a history of 600 years. It is a comprehensive art of singing, dancing, music and literature. (Both English and Japanese are available) Residents of other countries are also welcome if time permits.
I began my training at the age of three under the guidance of a master who was a living national treasure. I am currently performing Noh, though not professionally, at Itsukushima Shrine and the National Noh Theatre. Whenever possible, I would like to introduce the way of seeing and enjoying Noh through practical singing/recitation and dancing as well as knowledge.
