Hiho!
My name is Jasmin and I'm living in Berlin, which is the capital of Germany. I moved here about 10 years ago after I graduated school, as I had fallen in love with the city before while being on a field trip, and never regretted it. I think, Berlin is a great city as it has so much to offer. Art, history, nature, nightlife; no matter what you're looking for, you can find it!
I've always had a passion for languages, so back in school I chose English and German for my finals. I'm a German native speaker and love to read or write stories myself. Last may I started my qualification as DAF-teacher (Deutsch als Fremdsprache = German as a foreign language) at the Goethe-institute.
I've been studying English for over 20 years now and working as a private tutor for about a year.
Three years ago I started learning Japanese as I really love the country, its culture, its people and of course its language but sadly I'm still far from good... I'm trying my best though. 頑張ります!
I'm a huge fantasy fan and love everything that has to do with mermaids, fairies, unicorns, magic and the like. I'm also a passionate RPG player, computer games as well as pen and paper.
I love musicals with my favourite being dance of the vampires. In my youth I was playing theatre for about 13 years and even though I don't have the time for it anymore I still like to watch stage plays.
I love animals, my favourite are capybaras. As it's not so easy to keep them as pets, I have the mini version at home, which are guineapigs.
My teachingstlye is very patient. I recommend booking the "get to know" first, so we can talk about your expectations for the courses, i.e. if you want me to correct you or rather only help if you are totally stuck, or if you want to focus more on vocabulary or rather grammar etc.
