Bonjour à toutes et à tous ! 
I am Hippolyte, your French tutor ;-)


SELF INTRODUCTION

I live in Japan, Tokyo.

I came from Normandie and used to live in Paris, where I was a bookseller. I like books, History (especially French History), musics (from classical to electro and particulary City Pop), gastronomy, hiking, swimming, wine, Japanese sake, absinthe, bees, cinema, architectural heritage, travels, cigars, traditional cultures (especially from France and Japan), philosophy, photography, litterature, running, classical fine arts, meet my friends and take care about my moustache !

I am curious about almost everything and can talk about different topics, especially about daily news, History, Arts or politics ;-)


TEACHING BACKGROUND

I taught French and English when I was a student, 10 years ago. I was teaching in coffee shops. I usually had 1 or 3 students max with lessons.
I have been teaching on cafetalk for 1 year now. 
I am beginning to have experience teaching high school, middle school and elementary school students. 


TEACHING STYLE

Foremost, I recommend you to take an introduction lesson. In this introduction lesson, I would like you to tell me what you would like to study and although we could see if I fit with your expectations.

My teaching will look like a casual chat and I will correct your French and give you an explanation or examples to rectify your currents mistakes. 

We could choose a topic (news, your weekend, holidays, etc.) or a document (newspaper, video, movies, etc.), and let's talk about it together.
I although could correct your writings if needed.

I could teach in French or English (I could use a few words in Japanese if I see it's needed).
I will use a white board to write or draw.

I could although be a partner in English conversation. I actually enjoy speak in English (it was one of the most useful things I learned.)

I'm currently progressing in my teaching and I'm starting to teach French with its more technical side (grammar, conjugation etc.).
