I was born in Nigeria but currently live in Cape Town, South Africa. I hold a bachelor degree in international studies and a 120-hour TEFL certificate and currently pursing my second degree in Arts Education. I am a kind and patient teacher as I'm passionate about my student reaching their English language goal, be it to use English to communicate in their jobs, for exam preparation of just for the sake of knowing the language. my classes are only fun and free as its okay to make mistakes because it’s through those mistakes, my students get to learn and grow.  when teaching I use the student-centered approach. I include my students in planning, assessment and implementation. I always try to ask my students what they want to learn, how best I can help them to be better in their language skill. This helps my student play a very active role in their learning and develop a sense of responsibility. I equally use the Inquiry-Based learning which allows my students in making real world connections through exploration and high-level questioning. Students are encouraged to fails as a part of the process and then improve their performance subsequent lessons. In the past four years I have held two positions as an ESL teacher. I held an English Language Assistant in an International School for two years and worked as a private English tutor for two years and currently offering online classes on the Preply platform. During these years of experience, I built relationships with students to understand obstacles to learning such as social hurdles. I tutored and assisted students to help with English language comprehension and mastery. I equally designed exams to test fluency in reading, writing, speaking and comprehension of English language. I established a positive classroom management boundary to create safe environment among students. I developed materials for classroom teacher to support class lessons. Prepared students for English language standardized testing by providing strategies to overcome test anxiety and enhance academic capabilities. I had one-on-one classes with international business workers to improve their business and conversational English by tutoring them on how to write and respond to emails with the English language.
