Rain

Cecily G.

It rained last night. Maybe for you this doesn't sound like big news, but for us it is. It hadn't rained in many months. When I woke up, I noticed the ground was wet and the air smelled good. I checked an air quality app and it said 0!! (PM 2.5). Recently the air quality had been moderate (50-100 PM 2.5) or unhealthy for sensitive people (100-150 PM 2.5). The air quality had not been good since late August due to smoke from wildfires. The weather had also been hot. There were hot days where the air quality was also not good, and we couldn't open our windows, so it was even hotter inside. Now, the weather has cooled down. The rain was very light, but I hope it helped them fight the fires.
