ある調査によると この質問をしたら
約８割の方が ”桜（さくら）”と 答えたそうです。
”What do you think of when you think of spring?"
According to a survey, in response to this question
about 80% of respondents answered "cherry blossoms."
皆さんは「花言葉」を知っていますか。
それぞれの花に合わせて 象徴的な意味を持たせた 言葉のことです。
例えば、バラは純愛（じゅんあい） ユリは純潔（じゅんけつ）。
ちなみに桜はバラ科です。
It is said that there are more than 600 kinds of cherry blossoms in Japan.
Have you heard of the "flower language"?
It is a word that has a symbolic meaning for each flower.
For example, バラ means "pure love" and ユリ means "purity.
Cherry blossoms belong to the rose family.
昨年 私が 京都で見た桜を 紹介します。
”枝垂れ桜（しだれざくら：a weeping cherry tree）”です。
枝垂れ桜には複数の花言葉があります。
❶優美（ゆうび） elegance
大きく下に 垂れ下がる姿から 名づけられました。
❷ごまかし cheat
枝が垂れ下がっている様子が 自分自身を偽っている、つまり、誤魔化しているように見えることから 名づけられました。
ほかにもポジティブな意味、ネガティブな意味があります。
There are other positive and negative meanings.
私は 桜を見ると いつも 心が温かい気持ちに なります。
春は 仕事もプライベートも 新たな目標を 立てやすい時期です。
綺麗なものを 見ると 生産性は向上しますよ！
