Academic English - train with an Oxford PhD student (50 min.)

Hi! I'm Rowland and I'm currently in my third year of my PhD programme in Education at the University of Oxford. I'm a linguist by academic training and I specialise in doing research on English language teaching and learning. Prior to my PhD, I worked for more than three years as an academic writing instructor at a Singaporean university. I'm here because I enjoying teaching English! I offer two types of lessons: Academic Writing and Conversational English.
If you're looking for someone to guide you and help you improve your essay writing, research, or oral communication skills at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, I'm the person for the job!
For Academic Writing lessons, I usually adopt a clinic-style approach: you come in with a piece of academic assignment or project that you're writing (or have already written), and from there we figure out what elements of your writing need to be improved. This isn't the same as proofreading your work (although I can do that for you, too, during lesson time). This lesson caters mainly to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Senior high school students who are keen to prepare themselves for university are also welcome to sign up!
