SELF HELP AFFIRMATIONS 
FOR ADULTS
Good for Intermediate & Advanced Levels

5 minute Introduction
The student and myself will present ourselves briefly.

Ask the student how their thought patterns tend to be.
Find out about the student's emotional state of being and stress levels.

10 minute Emotions & State of Mind Vocabulary
Prompt student to tell me which emotions
they can name using images and facial expressions.
Write down new states of mind and emotions.
Describe simple vocabulary that will be used during the class.
Take notes of key vocabulary.


20 minute Create your own Affirmations  
Give examples of Affirmations.
Assist student in creating their own affirmations.
Reconnect with your goals & aspirations.

5 minute Questions and Feedback Time
How do you feel?
Did you enjoy the session
?

Do you have any questions? / recommendations?


Optional Homework
Say your affirmations daily
Write a summary for next lesson about how
you felt during and after the class.
