Exercises designed for Japanese speakers to improve speaking and listening ability for full-speed, natural English.

Подробности урока

In this lesson we'll use exercises designed for Japanese speakers to improve pronunciation and listening.

In particular, you can improve your ability to speak and understand 'linking' or 'blending' words together, shortened words and unstressed syllables in English.

For example: 'But with' is often pronounced 'B'with'.

Using romaji and katakana, I'll help you see which sounds in Japanese can be used to get closer to the English pronunciation.

For example, in Japanese, ’London’ is pronounced ロンドン, but the native English pronunciation is more like LアンDウン.

For sounds that are not common or not used in Japanese, I will help you 'find' the sound (for example for L and R).

We will practise pronunciation of single words, then two, three, four, five and more word expressions and phrases.

I will also send you recordings of these to practise between classes.

Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about these lessons!
