This lesson is intended for all levels: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
Do you have a hard time telling some English sounds apart? Do you need some help saying these confusing sounds correctly? Let's work on your pronunciation!
Learning outcome: after this lesson, you should be able to (1) hear the difference between English consonants that might sound similar; (2) begin to get a feel for how to say these consonants accurately in words.
Some examples of consonants we can work on:
We will begin the lesson by giving you many examples of contrasting word pairs. During this listening practice, there will be a card game for you to pick out the sounds you hear.
Then we will move on to pronunciation practice. I will watch and listen as you say the sounds, and I will give you detailed feedback to make your consonants more accurate.
At the end of the lesson, I will give you some lists of words to practice, along with tips to help you work on the sounds on your own.
