Objectives : Students will be able to use simple present tense to describe their daily routine, expand their vocabulary related to daily activity and practice speaking and listening skills.
Warm up (10 minutes) : Ask students about their morning. Prompt questions like “What time do you wake up?” and “What do you eat for breakfast?” Encourage them to use simple sentences.
Vocabulary introduction (10 minutes) : Introduce vocabulary related to daily routines using flashcards. Words to include: wake up, brush teeth, take a shower, eat breakfast, go to work/school, etc. Use gestures and images to reinforce meaning.
Grammar focus (10 minutes) : Explain the structure of the simple present tense (subject + base form of the verb). Provide examples: “I wake up at 7 AM.” Highlight third-person singular changes: “He/She wakes up at 7 AM.”
Listening activity (10 minutes) : Play an audio recording of a dialogue about a person’s daily routine. Provide a worksheet with sentences that have missing words. Students listen and fill in the blanks based on the audio.
