1. Warm-up: "Quick Fire Travel Questions" (5 minutes)

  • Instructions: 
    • Rapid, open-ended questions about travel:
      • “What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?”
      • “Do you prefer travelling by plane or by train? Why?”
      • “What’s your dream travel destination?”
  • Goal: To introduce key travel vocabulary

 

2. Main Activity: "Tell Me About Your Best Travel Experience" (10 minutes)

  • Instructions:
    • Describe your best or most memorable travel experience in 2-3 minutes.
  • Goal: To develop fluency and encourage structured storytelling using past experiences.

 

3. Discussion: "Tourist or Traveller?" (7 minutes)

  • Instructions:
    • Answer a challenge statement: "traveller vs tourist"
    • Explain reasoning in detail. To help organise your thoughts:
      • What’s the difference between these two terms?
      • Are tourists seen negatively compared to travellers? Why?
      • Which one does are you able to relate to more?
  • Goal: To practice forming and expressing opinions and engage in a deeper conversation.

 

4. Cool Down: "Travel Dreams" (3 minutes)

  • Instructions:
    • Tell me about  your future travel plans.
    • Describe your ideal trip in 1-2 minutes
  • Goal: To review key vocabulary and ideas.
