In this lesson, students will learn about the different types of sentences based on their purpose and structure. They will explore declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences, as well as simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences. Through guided practice, students will identify and construct these sentences, enhancing their writing and communication skills.
Objectives:
- Identify and categorize sentences by purpose and structure.
- Construct simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences.
- Improve sentence variety in writing.
Activities:
- Introduction (5 mins): Overview of sentence types.
