What is Cafetalk?

Cafetalk is an online teaching platform designed to make the exchange of online lessons fun and inspiring for both students and tutors.
All lessons are carried out online (via Skype or Zoom) and our interface makes the management of lessons and students super easy.

Diverse Student Demographic

Cafetalk students are located in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Europe and the Americas. Cafetalk is used mainly by adult learners, to improve their skills and enrich their lives, as well as by families and younger learners.
Professional Support

Cafetalk Support is available around the clock. Our Support Team will assist you in cases of cultural misunderstandings, technical questions or provide advise on how to best present your skills online and find the best student matches. We place high value on a good, personal and direct communication with our tutors, who are a vital part of the Cafetalk team. Chat Support is available in English, Japanese, Korean and Mandarin Chinese. E-mail Support is also available in German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
Secure Payments

Lessons are paid for with pre-purchased points which students can buy via Credit Card, Paypal or bank transfer. This makes handling payments from students in different countries or unforeseen issues like lesson cancellations easy and smooth to handle. Cafetalk offers tutors a variety of payment options, including bank transfer, Payoneer and Paypal. Lesson prices are set by tutors in points (1 point = 1 JPY) and tutor fees are calculated based on a flexible rate system where your fee increases the longer and the more lessons you teach.
