Hi everyone, This is Shawn! I'm a bilingual Japanese grew up in the U.S.

After studying at college in the USA and in Japan, I spent about 15 years providing international legal advice and translation services between Japanese and English for a law firm and a foreign company.
東京とアメリカの大学卒業後、約15年間国際的な法律のアドバイスや日本と英語の翻訳業務を法律事務所と外資企業でします！

I decided to put some of this experience to use and help foreigners studying Japanese and Japanese studying English!
この経験を活かし英語を勉強している日本人や日本語を勉強している外国人のお手伝いがしたい！

My hobby is backpacking, cycling, singing and composing music (currently learning DAW and Jazz Piano).
趣味はバックパッキング、サイクリング、歌や作曲（現在はDAWとジャズピアノを勉強）。
 
Sometimes doing some bicycle delivery in Tokyo for UberEats for exercise. lol
See myself as a multi-task/hobby person.

Belive the secret to improving your language skills is to immerse yourself in both Japanese and English for a certain period of time. Also, enjoying conversation is the most important motivation to continue learning!
短期集中で言語に浸かるのが語学力向上の秘訣です。会話を楽しむことが一番の継続の秘訣です！

My style is to have fun talking as much as possible ;)　Grammar is important, but if you are too concerned about the details, it'll take sometime to improve. Broken-English/Japanese is fine and having fun is the best! Please tell me a lot about yourself in English/Japanese!
私のスタイルは、とにかく楽しくお話をする方法！　文法も大事ですが、あまりに細かい点を気にしていると、英語も日本語もなかなか上達しない。くだけた英語/日本語で大丈夫ですし、楽しいのが一番！みなさんのこと、英語/日本語でたくさんお話ししてください！
