Letizia 講師的自我介紹
Hello,
My name is Patrizia,
I was born in Italy. I have lived most of my life in Africa.
As a child I lived in the Belgian Congo where my elementary education was done in the French language. We then moved to South Africa where I completed my education and brought up my family.
I graduated with a BSc degree from the well-known and prestigious University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
Over the years, in South Africa, I worked in many different fields depending on the various stages of my life.
I relocated to the UK a few years ago and I intend to remain here in the UK permanently. I speak Italian and English proficiently.
I am also fluent in the French language.
I have travelled to many parts of the world and have encountered a variety of people with diverse backgrounds, traditions, and ways of life. I have respect for numerous and various beliefs, cultures, and customs.
I understand people. I have empathy and compassion.
I also have a sense of humour.
I have taught in an informal and casual way for two years and have always had superior results with my students improving their grades.
When I see my students, I greet them with a smile, and I introduce myself unless I have met them before.
Before I start teaching, I assess the student's language level so that I can teach accordingly.
When teaching English to beginners, I use workbooks, props and flash cards. I also make the lesson fun with songs and games.
I create an environment in which my students feel welcome and at ease. I use positive feedback to encourage my students.
I encourage my students to practice their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. By practising and repeating, their English will improve gradually.
From the beginning, I teach my students the correct pronunciation and correct them if needed. I want them to practice listening and speaking. In this way my students improve their communication skills.
Through games and activities and role play, I make grammar fun.
I start my class with a Warm- up activity and a Lead-in.
Then I will introduce Vocabulary and Language practice. Then the Grammar where I expect the students to use the grammar in a context.
I guide my students to read and write by introducing them to a reading passage and testing them on comprehension. I like my students to compare and discuss their answers to improve their communication and thinking skills.
At the end of the lesson, I summarize the main points of the lesson and allow time for questions. I assign relevant homework and other activities.
Before saying goodbye, I provide positive encouragement and praise.
I then confirm my next lesson with my students.
I am looking forward to meeting you in one of my classes.
