Hello, nice to meet you all!

My name is Ari T. and I have been an Italian interpreter and video translator for 27 years (34 years of Italian language experience). I have been home tutoring Italian for 3 years, and at Cafetalk I offer lessons to"spice up"all levels from beginner to advanced.

I've hit many walls, quit studying, restarted, hit another wall, quit again, worried and struggled my way through, so I know exactly how you feel.

That's why I really want to help you solve your problems!

I would be happy to help those who are serious about studying and really want to become fluent!

I believe pronunciation is important.

Or, allow me to rather say it like this:

Pronunciation is the most important aspect of language learning.

Pronunciation before anything! I am a pronunciation believer.

That is because I want to get the best results with the minimum effort.

In other words, I want to make it as easier as possible while improving.

Nevertheless, grammar = formulas are essential for language improvement.

There needs to be a balance between learning grammar, learning correct pronunciation, and then practicing it in conversation, which I believe is the efficient way.

I would like to share the most efficient way possible (= the easiest way) with everyone who is seriously studying.

That's all I want to do.


Most of the lessons I offer are spot-on, where you can step-up in one session.

Depending on the student's level, one lesson may be enough.

This is the reason why I don't offer packaged lessons.

When you are in need of a “little extra” help, you can add it to your current lessons ♫


Italian is not difficult!

It's just complex.

Languages are puzzles!　

Italian is a complex puzzle.

If you like puzzles, or are good at math, you can improve through exploration.

Yes, languages are never the specialty of humanities.

If you say, "I'm a science and math person…" then you're a language person!

This is because language learning for adults is all about logic.

 

I also have a wealth of knowledge and Italian vocabulary related to fashion in general, bags, shoes, jewelry, wine, and soccer, so I can help you with specialized Italian questions and free conversation related to these genres.

The key to improving your language skills is to shed your shame.

The more mistakes you make, the more you learn.

Don't be shy to speak up and ask questions!

There is no such thing as a "stupid question" in language learning.

Career:

Born and raised in Tokyo. After graduating from Japan Women's University, I worked at an advertising agency. During that time, I attended an Italian Conversation School once a week, but hit a number of obstacles and failed several times. Although for some reason, I always managed to get back into it. At a time when there was no internet and not many Italians living in Japan, I thought, "The only way to improve my language skills is to live in Italy!” so I quit my job and went to Florence to study language. After returning to Japan, I immediately started working as a video translator, but gradually began to work as an interpreter and have been working mainly as an interpreter ever since.

 As interpreter:
High-end fashion brands, jewelry brands, shoe brands, wine manufacturers, wine importers, food-related companies, Italian soccer club teams, Italian soccer association, Japanese soccer association, event companies, TV stations, live shopping channels, ministries, Tokyo Metropolitan Government. I have conducted seminars, interviews, press conferences, live TV broadcasts, consecutive interpretation, simultaneous interpretation, and whispering interpretation.
